Downtown
At ChocoLattes on Cordova Street, you’ll be drawn to the cozy porch where customers sit and people watch as they enjoy freshly baked goods made from scratch along with their delicious cup of joe. Turn at Hypolita Street and you’ll come upon Schmagel's Bagels. Enjoy their 13 varieties of freshly baked Brooklyn-style bagels and 12 varieties of hand-crafted cream cheeses and breakfast and deli sandwiches. The patio out front is a great place to meet up over coffee.
Like art? If you’re visiting the Lightner Museum, be sure to hop across the street and try Sweetwater Coffee Bar and Gallery on Granada Street. Here, you can enjoy specialty coffees, lattes and teas along with fresh pastries, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, light lunches and salads all while you sit in a gallery and view the latest artworks by local featured artists. Check for extended hours on First Fridays during Art Walk.
On Cathedral Street, Peace Love & Little Donuts offers some of the wildest donut flavors you can imagine. Originally out of Pittsburgh, it’s become a popular stop for those seeking some fun in their morning donut experience. Try their Fruity Pebbles, Oreo Cheesecake and PB&J for a bit of nostalgia.
The Sprout Kitchen on Charlotte Street has delicious and healthy options for those who prefer to eat clean. This plant-based café and juice bar offers whole foods made with non-GMO, organic and locally-sourced ingredients. Sprouted bagels with toppings ranging from avocado to sunflower seed butter and maple syrup are just what your body needs to start the day.
St. George Street
Seems like all roads lead to or start from St. George Street. Before you spend your day strolling in and out of the street’s famous shops, attractions and restaurants, follow your nose to Ancient City Brunch Bar. You’ll think you just stepped into a café in Paris. This quaint and comfortable spot offers bagels, pastries, coffee, tea, lattes, brunch boxes, vegan options and more. You can even create your own charcuterie brunch. Yum.
Conveniently located across from the Castillo de San Marcos, City Perks Coffee Co keeps it simple with drip coffee, latte, espresso and nitro brew to get you going.
Right near the City Gate, Auggie's Mini Donuts offers made to order donuts, fried fresh right in front of you, with your choice of toppings, such as Nutella, peanut butter, or marshmallow, to name a few favorites. Grab and go with a hot cocoa, and you’re all set for a nice stroll along St. George Street.
Cinnabon believes there’s nothing the world needs more than a little frosting. It’s the stuff of love and magic. And here, they create wonders with their frosting. Try their Classic Roll, Caramel Pecan Butter, or Churro Stick.
Uptown
On the north end of the ancient city on San Marcos, DOS Coffee & Wine offers hand-crafted coffees, pour over, lattes, cold brew coffees, house made baked goods, breakfast croissants and baked sandwiches and salads. Late in the day, stop in for a snack and a glass of wine from a rotating selection of wine and beers. This is a local favorite with comfortable indoor seating on leather couches, farm tables for groups, and an outside patio.
Alms + Fare on San Marco Avenue is all about making sweet things simple, with treats that are delicious yet nutritious. Using just a few quality ingredients they create gluten-free desserts that benefit your body and satisfy your sweet tooth.
