St. Augustine Distillery Free Tours & Tastings

Voted “Best Whiskey Distillery Tour in North America” in the 2018 Drammie Awards, this free 45-minute guided tour invites guests to experience St. Augustine vodka, rum, gin, and Florida’s first bourbon. St. Augustine Distillery shares their passion for historic preservation, supporting local farmers, and serving their award-winning spirits to over 150,000 visitors annually.

Home to the Historic FP&L Ice Plant, circa 1905, visit the St. Augustine Distillery and take a step back in time. Built as part of St. Augustine’s first power and ice complex, it was the first of its kind to make commercial block ice in Florida over 100 years ago. The company, founded by 20 local families who wanted to do something good for St. Augustine, lovingly restored the building and brought it back to service to serve the community. Today, the historic landmark is home to Florida’s first bourbon and other fine craft spirits.

One of the top-rated Trip Advisor attractions in St. Augustine, the distillery’s free tour and tasting, much like a well-balanced cocktail, blends education and entertainment for guests of all ages. The distillery’s passion for sustainability, community, and social good shine through every step of their process. They utilize Florida’s legendary agriculture including citrus, sugarcane, corn, and wheat sourced from local farmers, and transform them into some of the country’s most sought after craft spirits.

After experiencing the hand-made copper stills and learning how the company’s spirits are made from grain to glass, guests are invited to enjoy free samples in the Tasting Room. Here, your tour guide will mix up three original cocktails featuring St. Augustine Distillery spirits and mixers. The tour concludes in the Gift Shop Bourbon Bar, where visitors will enjoy an additional sample of the company’s proprietary Old-Fashioned and are invited to enjoy the full flavor of any of the distillery’s spirits “neat”.
