Overview
Anastasia State Park invites visitors to start the year with its annual First Day Hike, beginning at 8:30 a.m. Led by a Park Ranger, this guided 2-mile hike explores the Marsh Trail along Salt Run and the Ancient Dunes Trail through the shaded maritime hammock, showcasing the park’s diverse natural communities. Participants should meet at the Anastasia Watersports Parking Lot and bring essentials such as binoculars, comfortable walking shoes, a camera, drinking water, bug spray, and sunscreen. The hike is weather permitting and may be canceled if conditions require. The program is included with regular park admission: $8 per vehicle (2-8 people), $4 for single-occupant vehicles, and $2 for pedestrians, bicyclists, or additional passengers with an Annual Individual Entrance Pass holder. 300 Anastasia Park Rd., St. Augustine. www.FloridaStateParks.org/anastasia
