Discover the often grim and surprising realities of Spanish Colonial Medical Practices during a free talk by Dr. Christine Miller at the St. Augustine Historical Society’s Oldest House Complex Map Gallery (Dunham Building). Learn why colonial-era Floridians might have chosen to flee rather than face surgery. Dr. Miller, a UF assistant professor of orthopedic surgery and board-certified wound care specialist, will share her expertise and passion for historical medicine.
