The amphitheater was built in 1965 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of St. Augustine, the nation’s oldest permanent European settlement. In the mid 2000s, it was refurbished. The new facility includes a conference room, four concession stands, a merchandise area, a large plaza and an arboretum of walking trails.

Local Performers
The St. Augustine Amphitheatre provides more than the big stage for entertainment. Throughout the year, depending on weather, guests can enjoy local bands at the Front Porch, located near the entrance to The AMP, and smaller concerts in the Backyard. Both are casual, fun venues where guests can mingle and dance to tunes. Look for concerts scheduled during Sing Out Loud in September.
